Leading European based Bank seeks a Credit Risk Approver for reviewing portfolio risk of Funds client pool from a holistic point of view both from a credit counterparty, market/product risk, legal, operational.
Credit Risk Approver | Credit Risk Location: London Salary: Competitive The Role (Split into 5 key areas):
-(20%) Knowledge of the growth, development and trends of the Hedge Fund industry as well as some Real Money Fund (UCITS) experience. Knowledge of capital markets products (in particular Rates & Credit product variations) with special focus on Emerging Markets. Assist in preparation of overall portfolio review on demand and periodically.
-(25%) Credit reviews of existing & new clients. Capably interact with Fund management to source relevant information. This includes performance and volatility analysis, portfolio and trade analysis, and risk reports. Conduct thorough credit due diligence reviews on Hedge Fund clients, covering all relevant topics including the organizational structure, financial performance, trading strategies and styles, portfolio composition and risk profile, risk management methodologies, operational risks, and asset valuation policies and procedures. Maintaining past due reviews within tolerable bank level, if at all.
-(30%) Responsible for monitoring monthly financial position (e.g. performance, size, risk, etc.) of Hedge Fund and Real Money Funds (UCITS) clients and maintenance of internal global monthly performance reports. Includes monitoring of ISDA/CSA termination/collateral events as well as daily trade and exposure review/trade approval.
-(15%) Familiarity with ISDA/CSA and other trading documents (GMRA, OSLA, etc.). Negotiate credit terms for these documents which requires liaising with Legal Unit and the client. Communicate Bank's terms to the Global Docs Unit based on the client's internal rating assessment.
-(10%) If necessary, responsible for working with front office and counterparty client to create satisfactory structures in portfolio financing with sufficient capital buffer and diversification.
